We write you this email from Swiss Ericsson European Consultancy Network in order to inform you that our organization provides in cooperation with Greek companies various work placements in Athens and other cities in  the  framework  of  the  LLP  (Life-Long  Learning  Programe). For the spring and summer 2010  we still have some limited AVAILABLE placements on business, marketing and management areas. Our business / management internship projects are specially designed to allow the trainees to learn, contribute, and see the results of their work. The trainees have the support of a mentor and work shoulder to shoulder with full-timers as they network with managers, gain real-world experience, and have a lot of fun too. Our established and well-organized training programs provide all the assistance needed. The available placement programs starting dates are flexible and have a 3 months duration. We provide assistance to finding accommodation.

Our BUSINESS TRAINEES primarily work on real business marketing projects: they create follow up marketing plans, quantity and quality business reports. They conduct marketing analysis and complete price management and yield management tasks. The working language is English and all trainees are operating information systems in English language.We should mention that we do not charge any host organization fees and we do not require any payment as we provide this service on behalf of the companies that we represent. We are a fast growing and dynamic team of young people, from different
areas, IT, business, international relations, mathematics and
statistics, graphical design and others, have teamed up in a company
dealing with different projects, mainly based in the field of
e-commerce, information security and web sales. We are experienced in
how improving company web site ranking (especially on Google) and we
focus heavily on doing lots of work in this field, not only in the field
of information security.

We are currently urgently looking for 5-6 students during October,
November, December and all year 2010 from any areas that would help us
prepare, develop and build contents, articles and website optimization
for a new e-commerce shop for a winning worldwide product. English is
obligatory, no other prerequisites are important, so can be business,
IT, law, international relations, mathematics, anything really. We
expect high level of motivation, very positive mental attitude and also
a person having fun while working here.

We would welcome students from different areas of studies, who are
interested in learning something new and gaining their practical
experience. Most of the students that we have at the moment are from IT
or business universities. However, we strongly believe that the most
important is the positive attitude to work and willingness to learn,
therefore we encourage students also from other fields of studies.

Job Description: Interconnection Consulting is an internationally oriented marketing research and consulting company based in Vienna and Barcelona. We focus on industry market reports, distribution research as well as ad-hoc research (customer satisfaction, image, etc.)

We are looking for interns who want to work for three to six months in our company headquarter in Vienna. (full-time internship, 40 h/week)

Currently six interns are working for us in Vienna. The interns work as assistants together with our industry experts and learn how to conduct marketing research on interesting projects.

From the very beginning of the internship, you will be involved in the creation of national and international market studies for the B2B sector or ad-hoc market studies. In this role you will be responsible for research, analysis, preparation/visualisation of data, as well as sales. High degree of independence and responsibility.

At the end of the internship, you should have written a comprehensive market study for a specific industry and have expert knowledge of this industry.
              
Candidate Requirements: Good comprehension of numbers/data and an interest in market research, marketing, statistics, business studies and economics, analytical and structured work habits, ability to work independently, and profficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Applicants should speak & write GERMAN and English fluently.
Further languages (Italian, French, Spanish, Eastern European languages, or Russian) and other internships (in the areas of Marketing, Consulting, or Market Research) as well as good communication skills are advantageous.

        For the summer 2009  we still have some limited AVAILABLE placements on business, marketing and management areas.
        
        Our internship projects are specially designed to allow the trainees to learn, contribute, and see the results of their work. The trainees have the support of a mentor and work shoulder to shoulder with full-timers as they network with managers, gain real-world experience, and have a lot of fun too. Our established and well-organized training programs provide all the assistance needed.
        The available placement program we have will start as of July 2009 and will have a 3 months duration. The residences are located 5-10 minutes’ WALK from the office. Students will share a small mini cooking area plus the shower - WC and the small living room area located on the same studio with one (1) more person. The studios / residences provide cutlery, glasses, plates, cups and linen. You are advised to bring your own ADDITIONAL linen, and towels. The cost of rent 225 Euros per month. This includes water, electricity and local and national tax expenses. The residences are just 5-10 minutes walk so students do not have any daily transfer cost to the office. Attached you can see the accommodation to be used by the student trainees.
        We should mention that we do not charge any host organization fees as we provide this service on behalf of the companies that we represent.

9 Muses hotel is a hotel situated in Keffallonia, a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. They are also interested to contribute in Erasmus or Leonardo da Vinci programs. They are looking for somebody for the following dates: from the 1st of May to the 31st of October, 6 months or from the middle of June to the middle of September 2008, that means for 3 months.

The 9Muses hotel is a small/medium sized hotel in Skala, Kefallonia. We are considered a 4 star hotel and deal mostly with British Tour operators although we also have many Greeks, Italians & American guests. This year we are also expecting quite a few Russians as well, which is a new market for the island of Kefallonia.

Since we are trying out new markets, we are also interested in trying out staff from other areas of the world either through the Leonardo DaVinci or Erasmus programs which are sponsored by the European Union. Specifically we are looking for an individual for the following position:

Being a generally small hotel this position includes quite alot of responsibilities and requires an individual who is both willing to learn the in's and out's of the hotel business and is flexible. This

The Institute for Food and Agricultural Research and Technology (Spain) is interested on reciving some Erasmus students for doing a stage in our institute.

The aim of the research team Food Processing and Engineering from IRTA (Institute for Food and Agricultural Research and Technology), in which the student would be involved, is the development of technologies to reduce the salt content in traditional ham products.
 
Salt intake has increased significantly over the last 20 years in many European countries, due mainly to an increased consumption of processed foods and the push for increased shelf life of many food products. High salt intake levels has been identified as a major risk factor for coronary heart disease and certain cancers, and food standard agencies in many European countries have identified “salt reduction” as a primary target for their preventative health management strategies.
 
The main topics are: Reduction of salt content in traditional ham, microbiological safety, Optimization of drying conditions for low-salt dry cured hams, Development of non-destructive protocols to assess salt and fat in meat products and others.
 
We would be interested on receiving high degree students during a long period of time (at least 6 month).

I am writing to inform you about Erasmus placement positions that we have available in the region of eastern Aegean islands, Greece. These placements are implemented with Archipelagos, Institute of Marine and Environmental Research of the Aegean Sea, a non-profit environmental NGO, whose work aims in the conservation of the natural environment of the Aegean Sea (www.archipelago.gr).
Archipelagos' research work focuses on various fields such as the study of the biodiversity of the marine environment (coastal ecology & biodiversity, marine mammal populations, fisheries productivity), as well as of the terrestrial environment, (study of the biodiversity of flora and fauna of the terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems of the east Aegean islands, as well as the factors of threat, agronomic research, seed bank projects and other).
Apart from scientific research we also focus on conservation work, making the special biodiversity of the Aegean Sea known to the local communities and to the wider public, as well as by producing relevant informational material, in printed and digital form etc.

For the purpose of the research and conservation work, Archipelagos provides research bases and stations in 5 islands and islets of the eastern Aegean Sea, as well as 2 research boats. Students and graduates, during the placements with Archipelagos, carry out work related partly on research, and partly on conservation.
