CALL FOR PAPERS

 

The Hungarian Philosophical Association is organizing an international conference on

 

"Aesthetic Experience and Somaesthetics".

 

 

Keynote speaker: Prof. Richard Shusterman

 

Experts, teachers and researchers in the field of aesthetics, arts, philosophy and life sciences are invited to submit papers for the international conference which will take place in Budapest (Hungary) on June 2-6, 2014.

 

Deadline for submitting abstracts is December 31, 2013

 

Standard papers as well as poster and electronic presentations are possible. The official language of the conference is English.

 

An ISBN publication with all accepted papers will be produced.

 

Registration fee: 15 Euro

DEWEY AND RORTY

 

International conference, November 6-7, 2009, Szeged, Hungary.

The conference is devoted to celebration of the 150th anniversary of John Dewey's birthday.

 

Location: Department of Philosophy, University of Szeged - Szeged, Petõfi S. sgt. 30-34. Lecture room 212. (Lectures are 30 minutes long.)

RICHARD RORTY

Richard Rorty, 75, an intellectual whose often deeply unconventional approach to mainstream philosophic thought brought him wide public recognition as one of the leading thinkers of his era, died June 8 at his home in Palo Alto, Calif.
